Island of Krk is located on the area with predominantly mild and pleasant climate. Average air temperature during the summer is 26°C. During the months of July and August, at least 25 days has air temperature of over 25°C, while at least 10 days will have highest daily temperature of 30°C. Even in June, up to 15 days can have temperature over 25°C. Average September temperature can reach 23°C. Most common winds are : southeast wind called Bura, sirocco called Yugo, and wind blowing from the sea towards inland called maestral. Island of Krk is also one of the sunniest places in Europe, with over 2500 sunny hours a year.
